I thought I would give you a little update on what is happening in Uganda and with our Suubi Medical Centre staff.

The country is still in lockdown, but the staff are keeping busy and trying to keep their spirits up, in a very difficult situation.

We have been able to pay their wages while they are not working, but it’s been quite a stretch, so we would appreciate any help with this that you can offer.

In the meantime the staff are busy caring for their families, cooking, planting crops to help with the dire food situation and trying to keep occupied by chatting to us about the country, culture, food and nature around them, but they are longing to return to work so that they can continue to support their community better.

We will keep you updated.

Electricity for Suubi

Those who have followed us over the years will have seen our struggle to connect Suubi Medical centre to the hydro electricity. Having power would make a difference because we would be able to use electric equipment and even carry out basic surgical operations and use a dental chair and things like that

We want to give this one last push. Our total bill is £2900 but we have £1700 so we need to raise £1200 to make it happen. We need some monentum to push this so that we end the 5 year long wait for electricity. Can you help with this drive?
