Our wonderful team are responsibly talking to small groups in the community to make them aware of the threat of coronavirus, following their schools, churches, mosques and other gathering places being closed, despite the govt reporting that there are no cases in the country yet. The practicalities are hugely difficult with larger numbers of people living together and little space to socially isolate, people living day to day and mouth to mouth. The country are also discussing mobilisation of the army as people at the airport’s are refusing to quarantine. Drastic but life saving early measures. Well done Uganda and our amazing Suubi Medical Centre staff.

We can still get money to the Centre to continue looking after people suffering with malaria and all the other common medical difficulties they face, as well as keeping the staff and patients safer with plenty of soap and sanitizer. Please help by donating. Thank you.

Electricity for Suubi

Those who have followed us over the years will have seen our struggle to connect Suubi Medical centre to the hydro electricity. Having power would make a difference because we would be able to use electric equipment and even carry out basic surgical operations and use a dental chair and things like that

We want to give this one last push. Our total bill is £2900 but we have £1700 so we need to raise £1200 to make it happen. We need some monentum to push this so that we end the 5 year long wait for electricity. Can you help with this drive?
